Indeed! I concede!
The English language is fraught with confusion,
Distortions in spelling and pronunciation.
You perspire with drills in enunciation,
To develop an impressive voice and diction.
-Joe Mordeno
We are halfway through on our training with Joe Mordeno, the President and founder of Speech Power. I missed last Friday’s session because of a more important task to do, so I tried to hack it with today’s lesson. Joe is indeed an expert as he was the first Filipino speech instructor at the University of Hawaii where he also finished his masteral degree in Speech education.
10 Philosophy learned from Joe Mordeno
1. The way you think, the way you feel, the way you say, the way you act… they all lead to what you are; these are the power of speech.
2. You have to pay the price before you can have the prize.
3. If you don’t get what you what, there is something good to come.
I concur! 4. If you don’t like the speaker, just say: “This person doesn’t make sense, but I will listen ‘til I learn to understand.”
5. There are two things that will follow us: Love and Hate.
6. When opportunity comes your way don’t get nervous.
7. If it is negative, don’t get it intensely negative.
8. Men always go for reasoning ‘the why?’ while women onto intuition.
9. What you focus on, you become.
10.It will come to me at appropriate time… when I am ready.

Now if you don’t believe in this, that’s alright, just let it be here for the record.
