The End

Over the past few years I have found myself enjoying more and more the process of blogging. It has been my way to idiot-proof my feelings and convey raw thoughts. And by far, the best part I got was meeting brilliant people in the comments section and through emails.

But for now, I opted to end this blog.
I'd like to say THANK YOU to everyone who cares to have a glimpse of my love notes.

If I speak with human eloquence ...and Angelic ecstacy, but don't LOVE I am nothing but a creaking of a rusty gate --- 1Cor. 13:1

Books in Ajar

I honestly admit that I have bad reading habits. I'm such a sleepyhead, and no matter how good the book I'm reading, I always tend to fall asleep. So I have a stack of to-be-read books in my cabinet. In three weeks time, I’d like to finish those. :p

----
Must Have:
By The River Piedra, I Sat Down And Wept by Paulo Coelho
"A girl and a boy meet for the first time since their adolescence. They discuss many of life's big questions and reevaluates their own special relationship."

The Fifth Mountain : another from Paulo Coelho, the inspiring story of the biblical prophet Elijah.

The Pig That Wants to be Eaten by Julian Baggini. According to a critic, Baggini does not make any judgments in this book, instead, the author offers 100 diffirent scenarios that will challenge the way the reader think, and weigh the pros and cons.

MoMiMo

Moving Out, Moving In, Moving On...
Someone asked, what can make you stay?

Then someone answered: None so far, I have made up my mind. I just want to take time for myself and to get rid of the things that wind me up. I’m afraid, though, but I believe this is one positive thing I can do to move on. Take it or leave it. I may risk something but whatever happens, I'll be glad to accept the consequences, at least I was brave enough to go. And I know I was never alone.
As the song goes, You Made My Blue Eyes Blue, but thank you because you made me realized that I should let the person love me for who I am, because no matter how hard I
try, if it's not for whom I am, my best will never be enough. I will never be good enough.
I will always remember that.

A Baffling Idea

"IF YOU DON'T GET WHAT YOU WANT, it's because THERE IS SOMETHING GOOD TO COME."

But sometimes, that something we can never have, is the something we really... really... really want but can never... never... never have. And while waiting for that something GOOD to come, we still hope that it is the 'something' we ever wanted.
Absurd isn't?

Indeed! I concede!

Indeed! I concede!
The English language is fraught with confusion,
Distortions in spelling and pronunciation.
You perspire with drills in enunciation,
To develop an impressive voice and diction.
-Joe Mordeno

We are halfway through on our training with Joe Mordeno, the President and founder of Speech Power. I missed last Friday’s session because of a more important task to do, so I tried to hack it with today’s lesson. Joe is indeed an expert as he was the first Filipino speech instructor at the University of Hawaii where he also finished his masteral degree in Speech education.

10 Philosophy learned from Joe Mordeno
1. The way you think, the way you feel, the way you say, the way you act… they all lead to what you are; these are the power of speech.
2. You have to pay the price before you can have the prize.
3. If you don’t get what you what, there is something good to come. I concur!
4. If you don’t like the speaker, just say: “This person doesn’t make sense, but I will listen ‘til I learn to understand.”
5. There are two things that will follow us: Love and Hate.
6. When opportunity comes your way don’t get nervous.
7. If it is negative, don’t get it intensely negative.
8. Men always go for reasoning ‘the why?’ while women onto intuition.
9. What you focus on, you become.
10.It will come to me at appropriate time… when I am ready.

Now if you don’t believe in this, that’s alright, just let it be here for the record.

Morning Prayer

Lord God,
Thank you for watching over me, my family and friends thru the past night; and for giving me the gift of this new day. I offer you whatever I think or do or say. Fill my heart with grace, so that everything I do will be according to your will. Help me to remain good and humble, to love and keep on loving in spite of hurts, and to hold on to the goodness within me. Lord, my life is in your hands. Continue to hold me and help me to hold others with love. In Jesus name, Amen.
